Southern California’s Youth Soccer Club San Diego Surf Soccer Unveils 3-Year Girls Transformation Plan – Taps Andrés Deza to Lead the Effort. Nationally recognized youth soccer club realizes the need to evolve.

Article originated at SoccerToday.com.

The USA is the undisputed leader in women’s soccer. The crowned champions of FIFA’s Women’s World Cup, our U.S. Women’s National Team has lifted the coveted trophy four times. No other country comes close to our success, and while the USA is not resting on the joys of its past victories, our recent investment in the women’s game pales in comparison to what other countries are doing to catch up.

“The women’s game is changing fast,” said Brian Enge, CEO of Surf Soccer. “In five years, there will be more opportunities for women, but the competition for these opportunities will be greater and so will the requirements for success. Our country can get passed by if we are not careful.”

Surf Cup Sports (San Diego, CA) is proud to announce the launch of our newest partner club, Dallas Surf Soccer Club. With the goal of creating Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex’s premier competitive soccer club, Dallas Surf joins the Surf brand to create improved experiences and opportunities for their players and community in the North Texas area. Starting in 2021, Dallas Surf will develop a standard of excellence that will match the country’s top clubs and foster a strong sense of leadership, confidence, and teamwork for North Texas youth.

Dallas Surf will be joining Surf Nation with the San Diego Surf Soccer Club’s support, which has a proven track record of developing players and seeing them move through the player pathway into the US National Team Program and the professional and collegiate ranks. Dallas Surf will provide high-quality programming at the local and regional level with a pathway for elite players to access the Surf Select program. Dallas Surf will deliver a holistic approach to player development by challenging players to learn the game in a positive environment.

“We strive to make Surf Nation stronger in talent every single day,” says Brian Enge, Surf CEO. “As our Surf Nation Program continues to expand, it’s important that we partner with clubs and staff that are run by like-minded coaches and administrators, as they are dedicated to our mission to provide the best of the best experiences and opportunities for their athletes. We are delighted to move into an area that has such a deep talent of players and coaches.”
